Parent Workshop -Barriers to School- On-line

This workshop will help parents understand Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA); what it is, why it happens, and how it affects autistic children. You’ll learn to spot early signs of school avoidance, explore the factors that push children away from school, and discover practical strategies to reduce anxiety and support your child at home. We’ll discuss the impact of masking, the importance of capturing your child’s voice, and how to work with schools effectively. The session also gives you tools to look after your own wellbeing, encourages celebrating small wins, and provides information on where to get further support.
