The Autism Group offers free parent training sessions and a home visit service for residents in the Boroughs of Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough and Bracknell. These services are offered to parents of children and young people of any age who either have a diagnosis of an autism spectrum condition or are on the diagnosis pathway awaiting assessment
Parent Support Groups
Pop in for coffee and a chat with other parents at one of our sessions run alongside our Pokemon Magic Special Interest Group activities on Saturday afternoons in the Maidenhead area. Parent groups are led by autism trained team members who also have young people of their own who are on the spectrum. Relax and chat with people who understand the joys and challenges of parenting children with autism.
You can drop in to one of our parent chat sessions even if you don’t have children attending one of our activity clubs. If you are dropping someone off then stay for a chat or enjoy a bit of free time. You can enjoy walking in the grounds at Berkshire College of Agriculture or shop in the nearby centre of Maidenhead. If you would like 1 to 1 advice, then our free Home Visit Service may be of interest.
Free Home Visit Service
Parents can request a visit in their own home from one of our qualified autism professionals who is also a parent of someone on the spectrum. For more information on this free, confidential 1:1 service go to our TAG@Home section.
