Parent Workshop – Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)- virtual

This workshop will help you understand Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA); what it is, why it happens, and how it can impact your child’s behaviour and emotions. Together, we’ll explore the key features of PDA, what drives demand avoidance, and why traditional parenting approaches often don’t work. You’ll discover practical, low-demand strategies to reduce stress, build trust, and support your child’s wellbeing at home and school. We’ll also cover ways to work with teachers and professionals so your child feels understood, as well as tips to look after yourself. You’ll leave with a better understanding of your child, fresh ideas to try straight away, and reassurance that you’re not alone.
