NAS Teen Life – Face to Face workshops

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, repeating until October 20, 2022
Teen Life is a six -session course for parents and carers of children with autism aged 10-16 and the accompanying members of staff who support their children (family workers or teaching assistants). (One 2.5 hour session a week).
Developed by the National Autistic Society with input from parents and young people with autism, the course covers topics including self-esteem, spending time with other people, stress and anxiety, understanding an autism diagnosis, puberty, independence, special interests and education and planning for the future. Discussing strategies and sharing ideas about how to communicate with and support young people with autism.
